Cayman is an alternate spelling of caiman, a reptile in the same family as the alligator. The performance of the Cayman S sports car approaches that of Porsche's flagship sports car, the 911 Carrera. Rally legend Walter Röhrl lapped the Nürburgring Nordschleife track in a Cayman S equipped with optional 19" wheels, PCCB, and PASM in a time of 8 minutes, 11 seconds.
Porsche Aston-Martin
The modern Aston Martin DBS is a high performance sports car from the UK manufacturer Aston Martin. Power comes from the heavily revised 5935 cc V12 engine from the DBR9 racing car, tuned to deliver 517 PS (510 hp/380 kW) at 6500 rpm and 570 N·m (420 lb·ft) at 5750 rpm torque. The engine features a new by-pass air intake port that opens above 5500 rpm to boost engine breathing as well as re-profiled air inlet ports that further improve airflow into the combustion chamber.
The Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren is an Anglo-German super sports car jointly developed by Mercedes-Benz and McLaren Automotive. SLR stands for "Sport, Leicht, Rennsport" (sport, light, racing). Mercedes-Benz has stated that they will build 3500 SLRs in a span of 7 years, with an annual production of 500 cars.The car uses carbon fibre for its entire body construction in an attempt to keep the weight of the sports car low. Despite CFRP materials the total curb weight is 1,768 kg (3,898 lb). The following tests have proven that the SLR can achieve a 0-100 km/h (62 mph) in times less than the claimed 3.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 334 km/h (208 mph).
The Lamborghini Gallardo is a sports car built by Lamborghini. The Spanish word gallardo translates into "gallant," and from Italian into "striking". The Gallardo offers two choices of transmissions, a conventional (H-Box) six-speed manual transmission, and an advanced six-speed electro-hydraulically controlled 'semi-automatic single-clutch sequential manual', which Lamborghini abbreviates to "E-gear". The "E-gear" allows the driver to make shifts much faster than a manual transmission would. The driver shifts up and down via paddles behind the steering wheel, and does not and cannot manually actuate the clutch.
The BMW M3 sports car is a high-performance version of the BMW 3 Series compact car, developed by BMW's branch BMW M. Just as the previous M3 generations all introduced a completely new engine, the fourth generation M3 did the same: the BMW S65 engine was introduced. This S65B40 is a naturally aspirated, high revving 4-litre V8 delivers 414 bhp (309 kW; 420 PS) at 8,300 rpm and peak torque is 400 N·m (295 lb·ft) at 3,900 rpm.


BMW Ferrari
The Ferrari F430 is a sports car produced by the Italian automaker Ferrari as a successor to the 360. The F430 sports car features a restyled body and a 4.3L V8 petrol engine derived from a shared Ferrari/Maserati design. The engine's output specifications are: 490ps (483hp) at 8500 RPM and 465 N·m (343 lb·ft) of torque at 5250 RPM. The F430 will reach a top speed of 196 mph (315 km/h).
